The Hounds is a blockchain security tool that scans smart contracts for vulnerabilities using advanced algorithms. It helps users identify risks like rug pulls across multiple blockchains through an accessible interface, enabling informed investment decisions regardless of technical expertise.

The project began as a simple landing page with key screens for launch and basic results tracking. The client, a crypto developer, shared brand assets like the logo, palette, and early design references. My goal was to translate those into a clean, engaging interface. As the scope expanded, it became clear that static screens weren’t enough — the product needed interaction, feedback, and structure.

The client, a crypto developer, shared brand assets like the logo, palette, and early design references. My goal was to translate those into a clean, engaging interface. As the scope expanded, it became clear that static screens weren’t enough — the product needed interaction, feedback, and structure.

What started small evolved into a full web app, introducing UX challenges around navigation, interactivity, and performance. The client also wanted AI-generated dog visuals to strengthen the brand identity. Some elements were predefined, but I had freedom to shape the user experience. Most collaboration happened live on Twitter Spaces and chats, which helped us move fast and refine ideas in real time.

Given my background in crypto and deep understanding of the product vision, I opted to bypass low-fidelity wireframes and move directly into mid/high-fidelity designs. This approach enabled more meaningful iterations with the client, replacing abstract layouts with concrete visualizations that clearly communicated the product's value proposition and functionality.

To validate the design in a real-world context, I created a responsive Framer prototype of the landing page. This allowed for immediate testing across devices and helped identify potential implementation challenges and interactions early in the process.

The Figma file was meticulously organized with a mini design system of core elements - navbars, buttons, and their states - along with comprehensive documentation of spacing and color variables. Components and elements were structured using auto-layout to mirror modern CSS practices, ensuring design-to-development consistency.
